Full descriptionDugout Logboat/Canoe (no. 2), Hardham. Discovered in 1964. One of six found during the dredging of the River Arun in the middle of the Arun Flood Relief Scheme (Grid Ref. TQ047171). The ferry boat is made of oak and is 12 feet 9 inches long and 2 feet 9 inches wide. Carbon dated AD1030-1220. One of the logboats is currently in Worthing Museum.
