Full descriptionAir raid on RAF Ford. The aftermath of a German Stuka bombing raid during the Battle of Britain. Smoke is billowing from behind the buildings which can be seen behind a fenced area. Soldiers are moving around in front of the buildings and some are still sheltering in trenches. The buildings have been damaged with some having their roofs blown off. The attack killed 39 people. This attack took place two days after a similar attack on Tangmere. Wartime West Sussex 1939-45 Project.
