Full description | Bomb damage to Ford airfield. A severely damaged army vehicle in the centre with soldiers and others working around. In the background a large building has had its side blown off. The damage was caused by a German Stuka bombing raid during the Battle of Britain which killed 39 people. This attack took place two days after a similar attack on Tangmere.Wartime West Sussex 1939-45 Project.
