Short title | Stagecoach horses in front of the Queen's Head, Bolney |
Full description | Stagecoach horses in front of the Queen's Head, Bolney. View looking towards the Queen's Head inn on the east side of the old A23 road. Three men wearing caps stand with three horses used to pull the Bolney stagecoach. The man in the centre is possibly a member of the Batchelor family who ran the Queen's Head from 1904, taking over from William Coster. The inn sign reads 'Queen's Head, Tamplins Ales, W. Coster'. Scanned from an original photograph lent by Colin Hartill. |
