Full descriptionEast Preston National School, East Preston. A group of boys and girls from the lower division sit and stand in five tiers. A male teacher, John Reeves, stands on the right of the group. He wears trouser suit, waistcoat and watch chain and has a moustache. The children are dressed smartly. Boys wear white collars and suits, the girls wear dresses, some with lace collars. A few girls wear pinafores. The photograph is mounted on card with the publisher/photographer etched into it at the bottom 'Frank Doran, 64 Church Street, Brighton'. Original lent by Jane Fry. Young Ones Project.
