Full descriptionHardham Mill, Hardham, Pulborough. View of a collection of large industrial buildings. In the centre of the image is a tall brick chimney with brick building at its base (possibly a boiler house). Behind is the four storey wooden mill building with wooden jetty reaching across to the water for loading barges. The Mill was situated near to the River Arun, River Rother and Wey & Arun Canal. To left of image is a another large four storey building with numerous windows. Brick built. Two men (one of whom is Fred Smith) stand in centre of image on the bridge with water running beneath. Both appear to be wearing work cloths and caps. Probably mill workers. Loaned by Jennifer Hooper and family
