Alfred Cook stands in the doorway of his shop on the south-east corner of South Street, having recently opened as a confectioner. He had earlier traded as a naturalist and taxidermist from the same premises. Timber-frame building with brick infill, brick chimney, tile roof. Large bay shop-window on the ground floor. The name Cook is above the window. There are signs advertising Teas and Cadburys chocolate. The house was later called Beam's End at 29 South Street. TOID:1000002053797785.
