Full description | Omnibus, Haywards Heath. The first omnibus in Haywards Heath. The side of the bus has the names of the names of the bus owners as Mid Sussex Motor Syndicate and the route as Cuckfield, Haywards Heath and Lindfield. The bus travelled the four mile route eight times a day. There is also an advert for Ben F Stott a general draper and milliner on The Broadway. A man sits at the wheel wearing a cap. The omnibus was delivered from Guildford in the summer of 1905 and was accompanied on its journey by several motor cars and a number fo London journalists. |
