Full description | Ashington Village. Rectory Lane looking east – Sands Cottage and Crawts in the foreground (Orchard Cottage and Laurel Cottage set back out of view in the image) then Carfax, Little Carfax and The White House. Further along you can see Prospect Cottage on the right and Artist’s Cottage is the white house you can just about see at the far end of Rectory Lane, and is actually on the London Road. Unknown building adjacent to the people and the horse and cart. Information kindly supplied by Mrs English. Brick houses on the left with tile roofing. Postmarked 11th August 1913, sent from Bessie to her mother, Mrs Wells, Bridge Road, Worthing. |
