Tall brick structure with crenellated roof, shortly after construction in 1900 by Thomas Cook of Crawley for Cuckfield Rural District Council. 85 feet tall and holding 40,000 gallons of water. Man sits on horse-drawn cart next to tower. Postcard postmarked Hassocks 2 November 1914, sent to Mrs Wood, 11 Duke Street, Brushfield Street, Bishopsgate, London.
