Tall brick structure with crenellated roof, surrounded by scaffolding during final stages of construction in 1900 by Thomas Cook of Crawley for Cuckfield Rural District Council. 85 feet tall and holding 40,000 gallons of water. Men stand on roof. Postcard postmarked Hassocks 2 November 1914, sent to Mrs Wood, 11 Duke Street, Brushfield Street, Bishopsgate, London.
