Full description | High School for Boys, Burgess Hill. Avonhurst, north view. This postcard was written to a Mrs Knockford at Mill House, Maresfield, near Uckfield and has a note added the reads 'We found the house dirty when we got back'. The main part of the postcard reads; 'Dearest and ? a card to let you know that i am still among the living and am all settled down to hard work again. I hope you are all well. What lovely weather isn't it, i expect you have heard from Ditchling long before . There (sic) so pleased much the ? ? Lots of love to you all xxx' The postmark details the year 1904 and that it was delivered at Burgess Hill at 3.30pm. The school was established in 1882. Young Ones Project. |
