Full description | Former toll cottage, Cocking. View across road to long one-storey tollhouse on the Midhurst to Chichester road, created turnpike by act of 1749. Written on back of card "Toll Gate House as altered by Rev. H. L. Randall, used as a men's Reading Room". Building became derelict and was demolished in 1965. |
