Full description | Slinfold House, The Street, Slinfold. Originally known as The Cottage, it was re-named in the 1930s. It had been built around 1600 and additions were made in the 18th and later 19th (post 1860) centuries. Largely hidden by trees is Cherry Tree Cottage. Pub on the left, The Kings Head, now the Red Lyon. St Peter's Church on the left in the distance. There may be snow lying to the right of the road. Postmarked 8 October, 1928. |
