Full descriptionLavington House, East Lavington, near Petworth. Situated south west of Petworth towards Duncton. Large house in the grounds. Stone and brick building with Classical architectural elements. Porticos with columns and triangular pediments. Centre part of house, consisting of 5 bays, was built in 1790s by James Lewis. The flanking wings was designed by Detmar Blow. Postmarked 20 September 1911. Postcard sent to Mr H Fenley at Storrington.
