Short titleWilfred & Lady Anne Blunt.
Full descriptionWilfred & Lady Anne Blunt. Wilfred Scawen Blunt sits at a desk, pen in hand. His wife Lady Anne Blunt sits next to him. Their surroundings appear to be the drawing room of a large house. This could be at Crabbett Park, their estate in Worth. Wilfred inherited the estate and he moved there with his wife in 1873. They travelled widely in the Middle East, buying pure-bred Arabian horses. The Crabbett Arabian Stud became world famous. Lady Anne Blunt died in 1917 and Wilfred Blunt in 1922. They had one daughter, The Hon. Mrs. Judith Anne Dorothea Blunt-Lytton (16th Baroness Wentworth). Wilfred passed the Crabbett Park to his daughter in 1904 to ensure she inherited the family estate.
