Full description | Plough Inn, High Street, Henfield. Pen and ink drawing by Arthur Elliot. Buildings on the left with tile roofing. One is advertising Tamplin's Brewery at the Plough Inn (Prop. P. Knight). Horse and cart on the left. View looking south. Right of the pub is the blacksmith's forge, and on the far right is the manse house in front of the congregational church. Titled, signed and dated by the artist. There were once two elm trees outside the pub. One of them felled in 1950s. |
