Description | Dagny Stromwall had a Swedish father and a French mother. She joined the WPM staff on a part-time basis in 1933, while she was still at Worthing Art School, and became full-time in 1936. She and Miss Williams accompanied a group of ten children from the school, whose parents wanted them evacuated during the Second World War, to South Africa from 1940-1945. On their return, the school divided into two sections, senior and junior, and Miss Stromwall became headmistress of the junior school. She became Miss Boykett's partner in 1958. |
